Job Description

A growing California law firm is seeking a full-time Employment Litigation Attorney to join its established practice. This opportunity offers meaningful responsibility, high-quality work, and a collegial environment that values professionalism, collaboration, and work-life balance.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of employment litigation experience, including experience handling wage and hour matters, PAGA claims, motion practice, and legal writing. Experience representing employers is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing employment litigation matters through various stages of the litigation process
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related documents
  • Conducting legal research and analysis
  • Participating in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other case-related proceedings
  • Communicating with clients and providing strategic legal guidance

Qualifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar
  • Minimum of 2 years of employment litigation experience
  • Experience with employment law matters, including wage and hour and PAGA claims
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Experience with motion practice and case management
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

The annual billable hour expectation is approximately 1,600 hours, with the opportunity to earn additional compensation for hours billed beyond that target.
